Colonial  Pattern

The Colonial Pattern is probably the most recognizable Hoosier spice jar pattern since it was used early on by nearly all of the cabinet manufacturers.  The Traditional Colonial  might also be ranked as the pattern with the most variations and the most pieces still in circulation.  Some of the other adaptations of the pattern below lasted only a few years and are much more difficult to collect today.  Many of the subtle differences within this collection are slight style changes over the years, but many may also be the result of old, overused, worn or dirty molds.  We have cataloged some ninety pieces in this pattern to date.
